Among the new updates is the assistive playlist feature. What this new functionality essentially does is that it suggests new songs to users based on several factors including their listening history, playlist name, and songs that are already in the playlist. Additionally, YouTube also says that up to seven suggestions will be provided to users.

Aside from that, there is also the new collaborative playlists feature which allows users to add another person to edit their playlist together. The new update also allows YouTube Music subscribers to check out playlists from other users via their profile page. In addition to this, there is also the Mixed for You section which offers AI-generated playlists based on users’ playback history. YouTube Music now even offer playlists that revolve around mood and genre.
