A Microsoft representative said that the exception here is the standard Xbox One S, which will continue to be produced. Which is odd, as the One S is neither the newest nor the most powerful of the lot. Those two distinctions go to the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition and the Xbox One X, respectively. The digital version console was released just last year. The more powerful one, on the other hand, was released a year after the Xbox One S.
All that said, the discontinuation of these two consoles may have something to do with their upcoming replacements. Microsoft may have decided to discontinue the Xbox One X so that the Series X can take its place, and its price. The same may apply to the One S All-Digital Edition as well, since the company still has another console, Lockhart (which may end up being called the Xbox Series S) that is rumoured to replace it. If you’re looking to get an Xbox One X, now is likely the last chance for you to do so, as the remaining stock fly off shelves. It will also be harder to do so in Malaysia, since Xbox doesn’t have an official presence here. (Source: The Verge)
