Unveiled at the Kembara Digital Malaysia roadshow in Ipoh, the price reduction is being done through the introduction of a new package that provides Internet speed of up to 8Mbps at RM 89 per month. This package will be made available for existing Streamyx customers for RM 69 per month.
As a comparison, Streamyx 1Mbps was previously priced at RM 110 per month, while the 2Mbps, 4Mbps, and 8Mbps packages can be obtained at RM 130, RM 140, and RM 160 respectively. TM has also revealed that it will be launching wireless broadband to support Streamyx customers while the company is rolling out new technologies to deliver better Internet experience to them. To be positioned under its existing #khabarbaik programme, more details will be announced by TM at later date.
