ORIGINAL STORY (11 June, 6:46 AM): True to its promise at Computex 2019, AMD today has unveiled the first batch of its new graphics cards family, the Radeon RX 5700 series at its E3 2019 event. Built using 7nm process technology and the RDNA architecture, leading the new series is the Radeon RX 5700 XT. Equipped with 40 Compute Units (CUs) which equivalent to 2560 stream processors alongside 8GB GDDR6 memory, the new card has a base clock speed of 1605 MHz and boost clock of up to 1905 MHz. The card’s general clock speed for gaming workload which is something that AMD refers to as “game clock” is rated at 1755 MHz.
Primarily designed for 1440p gaming, AMD is not hiding the fact that the RX 5700 XT has been positioned to rival the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (minus the ray tracing part, of course). Here are some of the performance numbers that AMD has shared during the card’s pre-announcement press briefing:

Even though it is slightly less powerful than the XT model, the company stated that the card is still designed for 1440p gaming. In fact, AMD claimed that the RX 5700 able to overcome GeForce RTX 2060 in many popular titles at 1440p resolution with maximum graphics quality setting:
Price-wise, the Radeon RX 5700 XT will go for USD 449 (about RM 1,869) while the Radeon RX 5700 can be obtained for USD 379 (about RM 1,577). Both cards which are among the first in the world to support PCIe 4.0 standard will be made available throughout the world starting from 7 July 2019 onwards.
