In addition to the previous five Specialists – Irish, Mackay, Falck, Boris, and Casper – the short video briefly introduces the remaining five Specialists that players will gain access to. The list include Navin Rao, an Indian No-Pat and Recon Class Specialist, capable of conducting cyber warfare and hacking his enemies. Next is Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza, an Assault Class Specialist from Mexico, who is also pretty much a revision of the original Heavy Support class of previous Battlefield titles. Unlike other classes, Dozer is shown to be able to shrug off explosions and even has a ballistics shield that does exactly what you’d expect a ballistics shield to do. Moving down the list, the next Specialist is also from the Assault class: Emma “Sundance” Rosier. From what we can see, the French operative is basically the character with the wingsuit, allowing her to traverse the battlefield in less orthodox means, including flying directly into a building unscathed, as you will see in the embedded video. Oh, and she’s also got a bunch of “smart explosives”, one of which seemed familiar to the homing grenade that was introduced in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Next down the line is Constantin “Angel” Anghel, a Romanian Specialist relegated to the Support class. Unlike Falck, Angel’s role on the field is more of a traditional Support character; he makes sure that his squad and other soldiers on the team are topped up but more importantly, he is also able to revive downed teammates, with an extra added bonus. Last but not least is Ji-Soo Paik, a Recon class Specialist of South Korean origin. Paik shares certain similarities with Rao in the way she tags enemy; while Rao needs to hack a target and shoot them, before he is able to see all other members of the target’s squad, Paik’s Threat Perception ability is more passive, allowing her to see her shooter after getting shot, quite literally. That skill is also complemented by another skill or tool called the EMG-X Scanner. Upon activation, Paik is able to see her enemies positions, even through walls. Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on 19 November. (Source: Battlefield via YouTube)
