For one, it comes with a joystick, which is located near the shortcut keys on its side. It can be set to send analogue or digital inputs. In analogue mode, it works like the standard thumbstick you find on, say, a DualShock 4 controller. On the flip side, digital mode simplifies the input to a four way joystick. If the default joystick isn’t right for you, you can just pop it off, and swap it for a longer one. Or if you don’t want it at all, there’s a socket cover instead.
Other features to the ASUS ROG Chakram include the use of Omron switches for the left and right click buttons. The button covers are also attached magnetically. This makes it so that, if you ever start facing issues with the buttons, you can easily replace them, rather than replace the entire mouse. It also happens to be a very special kind of wireless mouse. The ASUS ROG Chakram can work via Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz WiFi. Although, PC Gamer says that the joystick doesn’t work in Bluetooth mode. And finally, the Chakram also supports Qi wireless charging. But if you don’t want any of that wireless business, then there’s a USB-C cable for you. The good news is that, according to ASUS Malaysia, the ROG Chakram will be making its way here. It will be priced at RM599, but it will only be available sometime in February.
